Do you thrive in challenging situations?

Do you want to be truly rewarded for your dedication and hard work?

The Role?

We are looking for an account manager to come into an established team, who is ready for a new challenge! As an account manager it will be up to you to find opportunities in dormant customer records and develop strong long-lasting relationships with new clients whose accounts you will then manage and grow.

You will have daily and monthly targets and KPIs to achieve. You will be responsible for contacting and visiting new clients to improve relationships and gain a greater understanding of the business needs, so that you can sell the right solution to them. You will be given 200-300 records of potential clients who you will be tasked with cold calling and building relationships with, whilst following up occasional leads generated by the marketing department in a timely fashion. Along with building strong relationships, you will need to be forward-thinking in calling multiple buying points within each account to position the relevant curriculum areas and increase spend per customer.

You will spend your time split between the Birmingham office, and on-site with clients. As such, it is essential for the successful candidate to drive, as some of the clients are in remote locations not accessible via public transport.

You will have free-reign within your vertical and across the East and West Midlands to sell over 1,500 courses and certifications into Small Medium Enterprises (SME’s) of up to 2000 employees, offering a bespoke training experience which businesses will greatly benefit from.

You must be adaptable, personable and be able to tailor your sales approach to the different decision makers you speak to, to ensure that you can really discover the training needs of a business and sell the right solution.

Experience required?

This would be an ideal position for a highly driven, entrepreneurial and self-motivated individual who thrives in a new business environment. You will need to be able to take complete ownership of your desk and build a strong client base.

You must be comfortable and confident to cold-call new businesses, and be able to build rapport and relationships quickly on the phone.

A proven track record and experience in new business, telesales, business development or similar is essential.

Financial Package and Benefits?

We understand that as an experienced sales professional you are not easy to prise away from the success you have built, therefore we are offering a competitive base salary and commission package. Other benefits include Private Pension as well as 25 days holiday, 2 days paid Charity work each year for a charity of your choice (which we actively encourage), 3 days of additional training which does not need to be relevant to your role from our very own course selection (1,200 to be precise), subsidised gym membership and cycle to work scheme. Standard working hours are Mon-Friday 9am-5:30pm.
