HR Advisor

About our role: Are you an HR Advisor with experience of handling a variety of challenging ER cases? We are looking to recruit a driven and ambitious HR Advisor to join our advisory team and help develop our managers in all aspects of people management. You will be experienced at managing ER cases, with the ability to “see the bigger picture” assessing potential risk to the business. With sound commercial acumen, you will have the ability to make timely business decisions, identifying and mitigating risks, which will result in improved retention, engagement and productivity.

Your focus: You will work with line managers to help them proactively manage all employee issues, providing recommendations to meet the requirements of our business. Alongside all ER matters, you will be advising on capability cases in a commercial yet empathetic manner and will be key to helping us reduce attrition, through your involvement in on boarding activities and development of management know-how workshops.

Bring your experience:

Degree in Business or Psychology preferred (or similar)

Achieved or actively working towards CIPD Chartered Membership.

Significant experience of ER case handling, in a performance driven environment

Sound risk management capability coupled with pragmatic problem solving orientation

Exposure to TUPE would be advantageous

Effective stakeholder management and coaching skills

Confident oral communication and clear, succinct written communication is essential

Collaborative and flexible style with the ability to adapt your approach in line with changing business needs and personalities

Mobility

Working in our multisite environment, our role is not for the faint hearted as you will be working at an incredible pace where results are key. Based in Slough, you will have the flexibility to travel to our other locations throughout the UK as and when required and will be based in Swindon 1 day per week (flexible).

More about the Team you will be working with: We are a team of around 20 (including talent acquisition and payroll etc.) and are lively, outgoing and extremely supportive. The majority of us are based in Slough with one or two anomalies. We are passionate about what we do and aim to provide a comprehensive yet pragmatic service to the business at all times, (chocolate, cakes and lots of laughs included!).
