Finance Manager,   

QA LTD Leeds, Fulltime & Permanent Opportunity

About our role: As Finance Manager you will have proven experience in reviewing and producing accurate monthly management accounts, ensuring compliance and key controls are upheld. Being a confident, supportive, experienced team manager -  with your excellent rapport, you will help develop two assistant management accountants and of course the function to maximise full potential.      

Your focus: 

Assist The Head of Management accounts and work closely with our 2 management accountants

Prepare, review and analyse management accounts meeting tight deadlines and accuracy standards

Conduct margin analysis including price/volume analysis at product level

Liaise and work with operations to review processes that impact the finance department

Work with the IT department to continually improve reporting to meet the needs of the business

Partnering the Business

Complete balance sheet reviews monthly/quarterly

Support yearend audit

Continual review and improvement of procedures and key controls

Prepare & complete group VAT returns

Support the new financial system implementation

Ad hoc projects and reporting

Bring your experience: 

People management experience

Experience in a role with accounting, compliance and auditing responsibilities

Experience producing and analysing management accounts at product level

Sound knowledge of accounting principles, compliance and auditing

Advanced working knowledge of Excel

Understanding of accounting software principles

Educated to degree level in relevant subject; finance, economics
