Postgraduate Internship Coordinator, Fulltime and Permanent Opportunity

Are you a Higher Education Lecturer with experience of coordinating and placing Postgraduate (ideally) students into work based internships &/or placements? Read on as we have an exciting opportunity…….come join us!

About our Role:  As Postgraduate Internship Coordinator you will coordinate the allocation of Students on specified University Postgraduate courses for the Internships, taking  ownership of the effective delivery and student experience during their client site, work based learning experience. Alongside your coordination role, you will be teaching ideally at Postgraduate level (Business or Management or HR or Marketing subject, depending on your specialist qualifications)

Your Focus:

Assisting with workshops (staff and student) related to Advanced Practice modules, with particular focus on Internships

Developing and maintaining administrative processes and records regarding the coordination and marking of Advanced Practice Modules, particularly the Internships Allocate Advanced Practice students to relevant academic supervisors for Advanced Practice Internships Plan, prepare, teach/deliver workshops related to Advanced Practice modules, both for staff and students

Liaise with the relevant Course Managers and Associate Deans as well as other QAHE teams, particular the Compliance, Careers and Programme Administration teams, regarding structure and support for Advanced Practice Students, with particular focus on the Internships.

Meet partnership and internal quality assurance processes in relation to programmes Develop and grow relationships with partnership organisations.  

Bring your experience:

Delivery and support of Projects for students as Internships or similar

Experience teaching in subject area within the faculty

Student Project Supervision and Student Placement experience preferred but not essential

Significant experience of face-to-face teaching of higher education students in classes of varying sizes within a subject area taught within the faculty.

Significant experience of assessing students using a variety of methods and of working in teams to deliver classes, modules and programmes.

Postgraduate Qualification / Masters, preferably in subject areas taught Undergraduate Qualification / Bachelors, in subject areas taught Relevant teaching qualification or HEA fellowship or demonstrate teaching experience with a commitment to achieving the required Professional Standards for teaching
